Large parts of Funen and southern Jutland  are buried under snow and the storm is set to hit Zealand

A 24-hour snowstorm is expected to hit Zealand within the next few hours, according to Denmark’s Meteorological Institute.

Parts of Funen and southern Jutland are already experiencing traffic chaos due to heavy snowfalls, and Zealand is due next to get its share of snow-related problems.

DMI is warning that the storm will affect all of southern Zealand, and the islands of Lolland, Falster, Møn and Bornholm. Between 10 and 15cm of snow and strong winds are expected. Northern Zealand and Copenhagen will not be hit quite as hard.

Police are discouraging all unnecessary driving, while national rail operator DSB has informed that train schedules will be affected most of the day by the snow and ice on the tracks, with many delays likely.

ttrennel  - third world affects co2 atmospheric retention   |2009-12-18 14:25:07
The 3rd world, developing countries and some other developed are also responsible for co2 retention. Consider a mature tree absorbs about 50 pounds of co2 per year. These countries cut down billions of trees per year for slae, for clearing etc. Thus, they contribute to billions of pounds of co2 that could have been absorbed by trees that were cut. Some cutting for cattle growing areas also contributes to follow on effects on the atmosphere. The developed nations do not owe them a carbon debt since they too will become developed -- what then will they owe the previous developed nations. A global climate Ponzi scheme in the works.
