The latest Donald Duck comic contains a fingerprint set with a dangerous iron-based powdes

Purchasers of last week’s Donald Duck and Co. (‘Anders And & Co.’, 27 August, issue 35) are being advised by the comic book’s publishers that the special issue contains a poisonous substance.

Egmont Publishing House has issued a warning that the iron-based powder accompanying the fingerprinting set included in the comic is toxic if ingested. The company has urged parents whose children have a copy of the issue to throw the substance out immediately.

Egmont apologised for the error, saying that the information was not known until after the issue had already been distributed.

Some 40,000 issues of the comic book have been distributed and Egmont is recalling all unsold issues.
