North Jutland Police are looking for an elderly woman who is alleged to have stolen debit cards and withdrawn almost 20,000 kroner in cash.

They have released a photo of the woman who they say is responsible for following a female shopper in Aalborg last November to ascertain her pin number before swiping her card from her purse. 19,000 kroner was later withdrawn.

Chief Inspector Casten Corfitzen told TV2 Nord news that they are still trying to identify the woman and don’t know yet if she’s Danish or foreign.

Police are certain that the woman pictured is the thief as she was caught by CCTV shortly after the money was withdrawn from the account in an Aalborg shopping centre.

Anyone with information on the woman’s identity is asked to contact local police at 9630 1448.
