Mexican authorities are still investigating the death of Danish woman Pia Hesselberg following her fall from a hotel balcony

She died at a holiday resort in Cancun, Mexico at the weekend, and the incident is being treated as a crime, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry told jp.dk.

Pia Hesselberg, 33, from Vordingborg South Zealand was discovered after falling from the ninth floor of the Beach Palace Hotel on Saturday night.

Mexican police told Ekstra Bladet newspaper they have questioned a man in connection with the incident but cannot say more due to the ongoing investigation.
