Hailing from New York, US, the quintet come with an original, rich and poignant sound. Now residents of Copenhagen, they are intimately entwined with the jazz scene here and this tells in their inspired performances which really demonstrate their commitment to the industry. Mixing up folk, blues and jazz in which there resides evidence of their influence of Appalachian blues and the American folk tradition their music is a mixes both traditional and modern methods. But most impressive are Claudius Pratt’s vocals which have real bite and are the embodiment of the band’s devotion and collective passion for creating music. They’re original, passionate and forcing the genre into new territory and are certainly one of the more adventurous acts performing this week. (English)
